Fine wines paired with food prepared by Leander chef.
A journey of fabulous French wines selected by Will Kuhl, Member Services and Operations Manager and presented by Eddie, The Merchant from Jacobini Wine Gallery at Henley House, 35 Hart Street, Henley.
This evening will offer stories surrounding the places and people associated with the wines. Guests will sample the wines and accompanying tasting notes. Delicious paired dishes will be served to accompany the wines.

The ‘A6’ collection': Auxerres to Macon
4x Red burgundy- Pinot noir from burgundy includes classic wines like Gevrey Chambertin and Nuits St Georges
There are three sub regions in burgundy Cotes de Beaune, Cotes de Nuits and Cote Chalonaise
2 x White burgundy- Chardonnay from Chablis in the very north near Auxerre down to Macon in the very south
There are 4 sub regions- Chablis, c d Beaune, c d Nuits and Chalonaise
Wines: Chablis, Chassagne Montrachet, Meursault and Pouilly Fuisse

Rhone valley- 100% syrah in the northern part, and syrah/grenache/mourvedre/carignan from the southern rhone- from Lyon (north)to Avignon (south)and covers
eg St Joseph and Crozes Hermitage (north), down to Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas in the south. Also some good whites in this region.
